Certification Program (PBT)

Welcome to Phlebotomy Continuing Education, LLC

All students must successfully attend all 5 classes, pass with a 75 grade and pass the National Phlebotomy Certification Exam (NPCE). Clinical rotations to follow.

Exam proctored by CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR.

Phlebotomy Training Objectives

Phlebotomist work in hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities drawing blood from patients in preparation for medical testing. As a phlebotomist, you must be attentive to detail, work well under pressure, have excellent manual dexterity, great communication skills, and really enjoy working with people.

Course Requirements

High School diploma or Equivalent from a High School in the United States.
Classes are in English
MUST BE at least 18 years old or older.

Must have great studying skills, read and comprehends materials during lectures.

Must have a passing 75 grade in order to receive certificate from Phlebotomy Continuing Education L.L.C

PHASE II

Phase II Externship (clinicals) requirements

Clinical blood collection of 100 supervised successful venipunctures. Clinicals are a PRIVILEGE and NOT a part of course cost.

After 1 year of phlebotomy employment, you may challenge the ASCP (PBT) exam.

Students will incur OUT OF POCKET expenses for the following:

Background check 59.00 Cleared no criminal records
Drug Screen 40.00
Black Scrubs Top/Bottom

The cost of any Missing or expired vaccines

Must be current on the following NO EXCEPTIONS. Mandatory by HOSPITALS.

Most vaccines are given during childhood, so you may already be covered.

Please bring a copy of your records on day one.

1. PPD (with in 12 months) TB

2. Hepatitis B Series

3. Measles Mumps Rubella (MMR) immunity positive Antibody screen or 2 doses of MMR

4. Varicella

5.Tdap (within the last 10 years)

Influenza A & B (current season)

*6. Covid-19 recommended but not mandatory at time

VACCINE RECORDS MUST BE SUBMITTED ON 1ST DAY OF CLASS.

Vaccines are required by ALL hospitals to protect both Patients and Students
